Once again, another amazing tour with Meteb! Asir was an incredible area and would highly recommend this tour. Meteb and Majid had us moving the whole weekend. I was trying to decide which tour, Asir or Maddin Saleh, was more exhausting. I think it’s about even :-)

Once thing that I would have like to have gone to were some of the traditional markets that are open during the summer months. I am not sure if you would be able to find out if a couple of vendors at the markets would be willing to be open when you do the tours but that would be wonderful.

Looking forward to the next trip I take with Amazing Tours, the Empty Quarter!

Many thanks again Meteb for showing us Saudi Arabia!

Wow!!! this part of Saudi is like nothing I’ve seen here before. before this trip I thought I knew Saudi as I had traveled to quite a few places, but I can assure you that you don’t know all of Saudi until you’ve done this trip. Meteb did an amazing job as showing the group a mix of culture (dancing, flute playing, food, people) and nature (mountains, lookout points, hiking). Of all the trips I’ve done with Amazing Tours (and I’ve done 7 I think), this one will stand out as the most beautiful for sure. Its a full on trip and you’ll be exhausted when you get home, but there is just so much to see and do there that you won’t notice it until you are home and able to finally relax. The hiking bit takes a bit of fitness so I would suggest you only take on the challenge if you are really for a bit of exercise. otherwise you can sit at the bottom of the mountain and enjoy some Arabic coffee/tea in the shade. Thanks Meteb, Majed, and the rest of the crew for a great weekend. I certainly look forward to the next trip 😀

The tip to Asir was marvelous, definitely the best place I’ve visited in Saudi Arabia yet — incredibly mountainous and nicely green, and best of all cool. I’d go back in a heartbeat.

The trip was well planned, although there were a few hiccups along the way, which Meteb quickly found a way around (such as the cable car people refusing to accommodate us, despite weeks of communication about us coming). Rijal Alma was a fascinating heritage village; the Islamic museum was gorgeous; other ruins we saw were fascinating; the views everywhere were breathtaking; the mountain roads were thrilling; and the dinner in a small town was probably the most heartwarming intercultural exchange I’ve experienced here.

I’d highly recommend this tour with Meteb — it’s a part of the kingdom so different from anywhere else, you shouldn’t miss it..

We had a great trip to Aseer. Many thanks to our guide Majid, who made this trip special to us. We enjoyed Majid’s hospitality, stories and the conversations we had with him. Saturday we made a beautiful hike to the top of one of the mountains near Tanuma.

The trip was a very nice mix of nature, culture and Saudi hospitality!

We are looking forward to our next trip with Amazing Tours.

    Thanks,
    Wilma and Jan-Willem.
